STEELEMACK IS DELIGHTED TO HAVE THE COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS OF SOME OF THE FINEST RESOURCES IN THE NAPA VALLEY -- JUDD'S HILL MICROCRUSH AND BAZAN VINEYARD MANAGEMENT.

 

The vineyard is managed by Mario Bazan and his team. Mario brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our vineyard. Over 30 years experience, including vineyard supervision of Robert Mondavi's two most famous vineyards: Opus One and To-Kalon. Our vineyard was originally planted by Mario and his team in 2000. Beginning in 2010, Bazan Vineyard Management has methodically cared for the vines, thus maximizing the quality of fruit we produce.

 

Judd's Hill was selected by Food & Wine Magazine as "THE place for custom crush wine making in Napa Valley". Our wine maker, Eric Lyman, head winemaker at Judd's Hill,  and his assistant wine maker, Alex Young, have a minimal intervention, palate driven winemaking philosophy. Letting the fruit express the wine. Understanding the chemistry of wine adds a traditional approach as well. Our winemaker's approach benefits custom, artisan, small lot wines such as ours -- Steelemack Cabernet Sauvignon.
